Take Care of Business
The Problem
As the pandemic raged on in 2021, the push for Americans to get vaccinated and stop the spread of COVID-19 was more important than ever. To help promote this crucial public health wellness messaging, the Dallas Regional Chamber asked us to create a campaign to reach key demographics who were resistant to vaccination and encourage them to do their part to keep Dallas safe from COVID-19.
The Insight
As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, 1 in 3 small businesses closed their doors, and the leisure & hospitality industries lost 59% of their revenue in Dallas and Fort Worth compared to before the pandemic. This decline in business matters a lot to our target demographic, who value the health of the economy and small business owners.
The Campaign
We connected the dots between the ongoing health crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic with the health of the economy, and created a messaging campaign called “Take Care of Business”. In order to keep small businesses open, our local Dallas business owners need their customers to get vaccinated and flatten the curve, so that we can get back to life before the pandemic and live freely once again.
In addition to the hero video above, we launched a series of billboards in key targeted areas to drive home the messaging and encourage Texans to get vaccinated, so we can get back to business.
Supporting Assets
We also created a series of social assets to broaden our reach and hosted sweepstakes at local community health clinics to give away prizes— everything from tickets to Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers games, round-trip flights on Southwest and American Airlines, and even a signed Luka Doncic jersey!
